Downloading and installing macOS 10.15 beta 6 is not straightforward. In order to install it on your Mac, you have to go through some steps given below to understand the whole process:

Step 1: Creating an Archived Backup Using Time Machine
Before we start, we should take a quick backup of your current Mac using Time Machine. A backup will help if anything happens during the installation process. Your data will be saved in the backup file. If you want to protect your precious data, then a backup with Time Machine is recommended. Here’s how to take a quick backup of your Mac:

  1.   First, plug-in your portable hard drive to your Mac using a connector cable. You can also use the Time Capsule instead of an external hard drive.
  2.   Head to the “Apple” button located on the top-left corner of your display.
  3.  Choose System Preferences from the given options.
  4.  Now navigate to the Time Machine.
  5.   Turn on Time Machine toggle switch by clicking on it.
  6.    Go to Select Backup Disk and then select the disk in which you want to store your backup     files.
  7.  The program will format your drive and then start the backup process.
  8.  Once the backup is done, you are ready to go for the second step.

Step 2: Downloading macOS Catalina Beta 6
This process is pretty straightforward and only requires a few steps. Here’s how to download macOS Catalina beta 6:

  1. Head to developer.apple.com on your favorite browser of your Mac.
  2. Go to the “Discover” option from the top navigation menu.
  3. After that hit, the macOS icon appeared on the top of the website.
  4. Now click on Download. 
  5. When asked to log-in with your developer account, then log-in using your account credentials.
