Step 1: Creating an Archived Backup Using Time Machine
Before we start, we should take a quick backup of your
current Mac using Time Machine. A backup will help if anything happens during
the installation process. Your data will be saved in the backup file. If you
want to protect your precious data, then a backup with Time Machine is
recommended. Here’s how to take a quick backup of your Mac:
- First, plug-in your portable hard drive to your Mac using a connector cable. You can also use the Time Capsule instead of an external hard drive.
